REBICOM (RBC)

It is a REcyclable, BIodegradable and COMpostable film that has an advantage over the bioplastics of the rest of the competitors since it improves weight, densities and production costs. It is based on an enzymatic technology that is a complex of 9 main ingredients derived from vegetable by-products.

The research of the REBICOM project consists of achieving the transformation by current methods of manufacture of films based on standard thermoplastic polymers of fossil origin or of renewable origin, in biodegradable and compostable without losing the capacity of recyclability, reuse and the innocuousness for people and the environment.

BOPE

At Innovative Film Solutions we believe that Bioriented Polyethylene (BOPE) could be the solution to most flexible plastic packaging that is not currently recyclable because Polyethylene (PE) is the safest, lightest, easiest to mechanically recycle and to reuse.

The PE-based films used to date are manufactured by the bubble or balloon method, which limits the possibilities of physically modifying the characteristics of the polymer.

The biorientation of the PE plane that we carry out in Innovative Film Solutions allows us to modify the mechanical nature of the polymer, achieving products with very high resistance and rigidity similar to the Bioriented Polypropylene films (BOPP)

The present project pursues the development, in the IFS facilities, of a plastic film, with a thickness between 25μ and 52μ, based on Polypropylene Homopolymers (HPP) and Polypropylene Copolymers (CPP), manufactured with the high capacity BOPP technology, (Bioriented Polypropylene) applicable to the manufacture of postal envelope windows and as interleaver film, used for the separation of sliced food.
